I've discovered it! The next Twilight...a book about light...and dark. Vampires, the Others, the smart Others.
I have this weird thing when I read books of any kind, if I see a part that resonates with me, I highlight it/dog ear it/underline it. Here's the four main ones that stood out to me with this book:
"There's such a thing as destiny. And there's nothing stronger than destiny. Some are destined to change the world. Some don't have that in their destiny. Some are destined to bring entire states to their knees, and some to stand in the wings holding the puppets' strings."
"Everyone has his or her own destiny, my dear. For some, it means changing other people's lives and destroying empires. For others it simply means getting on with life."
"Sometimes the most important thing isn't to do something. Sometimes it's more important not to do anything. Some things you have to decide for yourself, without any advice."
"What if, everytime you fought for love, you were fightning for the whole world?!"
