Just a little part of the recent KlipKop newsletter...I feel grateful to have even played a tiny part on this amazing conservation!
In June, Klipkop won the Best Biodiversity Conservation Practice for a Gauteng Conservancy 2009. This was awarded at the AGM of the Gauteng Conservancy and Stewardship Association.
This award is sponsored by the Endangered Wildlife Trust. EWT is a highly respected conservation organisation dedicated to preserving threatened species and ecosystems in southern Africa since 1973.
The rather magnificent trophy (pictured left) is ours to keep for the year. As it looks far too good to hand back, we'll be returning to defend our title!
We thank all of our volunteers for the part they have played in helping us maintain the Reserve in excellent condition. You have done - and continue to do - very valuable work.
There is actually more good news ... but we'll keep you in suspense for a little longer. Stay tuned...
