...when our hearts are full we need much less

  • Why the Hope?

The defining moment in my life that shifted the way I was thinking...and brought me to ubuntu.

  • Who am I?

    Great question. Tough to answer.

  • What I do

In the sense of living and breathing and working and playing.

One action that transcends boundaries, language barriers and religions?

    A smile.

What did I notice most on my trip? That everyone who I smiled at smiled back at me. That it started any conversation off on the right note. That it instantly put vulnerable people at ease. That it made me feel better. That it made them feel better. That it brought someone I met to consistently call me sunshine. That it made me feel like sunshine.

I can remember the first day of work in Jaipur. I was sitting in a small classroom with five women I wanted to befriend and gain the trust of and I had no idea how to do it. And then I smiled and slowly but surely, each woman smiled back at me. In that small gesture, I knew I was already halfway there.

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. ~Mother Teresa

Don't they just make you wanna SMILE!! Happy Tuesday.
