My heart goes out to the family of those dead and wounded in today's Mumbai bombings. I was eating dinner when the reports came on the news and it choked me for many reasons...1) my first thought was "Wait, that's so scary. I'm going to be there in all of three months and the first bombing was at a jewellery market..where I could be...2) the second thought in my head was that I was so sorry to hear that people died...2) the third thought that came to me was how awful it is that the first thought that came to my head was so selfish and sheltered. This happens all around the world, but in Canada we are SO LUCKY to be free from (almost) all fear of anything like that happening here.
Counting my Canadian blessings today with my heart in India.
